The theme of ‘ talent development ‘ has broad interest. It is high on the agenda of both policy-makers, politicians in the arts and art education. Following the national debate the ArtEZ Theatre and Dance Faculty organizes on Saturday, April 12th a day of inspiration on talent development in the arts.
This inspiration day centralizes the maker, the talent. Questions to be addressed include the following: How to recognize and guide your talent ? How do you organize your own artistic development as a young artist? Where is ownership of talent? And above all: how can we ensure that the talent of today will be the talent of tomorrow?
A day full of stimulating lectures, extensive workshop program (by Het Huis Utrecht , De Nieuwe Oost, Art Business Centre) and challenging coaching sessions with renowned names from the arts and special guests from unexpected sources.
Marije Elferink – Gemser (Professor Recognizing and Developing Sports Talent HAN University for Applied Sciences),
Dirk Pauwels (director and founder and former artistic director of the art center CAMPO),
Erik Matser ( neuropsychologist and coach of football players ),
Ines van der Scheer (co-founder and coordinator Music Master TIME) and others.
Students, teachers and directors from schools for the arts and arts teachers training
Emerging choreographers , dancers, actors and theatre professionals;
Art teachers from secondary education;
Educators and directors in arts and cultural institutions;
Interested professionals .
